So while I was there, she pulled another chair from her garage and asked if I would please just take it. For those of you that don't know me very well, my husband says the reason I got into this business was because I needed to have a reason to buy more chairs. Anyway, I couldn't turn it down....although it did need a lot of love.
The chair was given to my friend when she went off to start college. I don't want to say too much but, we are about the same age and college was about 2 decades ago, give or take. This chair was a hand me down (that had seen better days) back then, and life for this little spot hadn't gotten much better.
I was working on a desk (here) and I decided it should probably have a chair sitting with it. Lara's chair was the perfect size but......it was going to take some work. I sanded, glued, screwed, sanded some more and then started painting.
I found this fabric on the clearance rack at Hancock's and I loved it but when I got it home, I wasn't loving it in gray soooo, the chair became white and... I love it! Not sure they really belong together but, they are both pretty stinkin' cute if you ask me!
ooh i love it, lisa!!!! the fabric is awesome!

ReplyDeleteLove the chair! And the desk too! What a talent you have!
How pretty!!! That desk is killer!!!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is perfection! Do you know what the name of it was by chance? I would love to hunt it down to use on my antique dining chairs!
