Welcome 2011!

Welcome to 2011!
Please ignore the awful hair on my girl child!
It was late and cold....New Year's celebration; ranch style!
I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and even with the post holiday blues, you're ready for a fantastic new year!

Let's not get too deep here but over the break I totally unplugged, spent time with my favorite people, reflected on the past, and thought a lot about the future.    As great as 2010 was, there are certainly some changes I'd like to make and it basically boils down to:

Live in the moment and try to be present for it all!
I'm a planner and a goal setter and unfortunately, I often get caught up in my list(s) instead of in my life! I don't want to be that wife, Mom, daughter, sister, or friend that misses it all so.......true to form, I had to map out a few of my thoughts in order to help me get there!

Live in the moment and be present.
Smell the coffee, enjoy the chaos that comes with a busy life, build strong lasting relationships, and make sure those closest to my heart know how important they are!

.......remember to play:  Barbie's, PS2, Nerf war, pretend kitchen, ???
.......date night with my Handsome Hubby more than once a year
.......call some of the girls I'd like to spend more time with and make solid plans
.......send the Christmas card as New Year's cards;  it will just be an unexpected surprise
.......lose weight and get more exercise; do NOT buy bigger jeans
.......balance Artichoke Alley so as to enjoy it more and stress about it less.  Be thankful daily for this opportunity!

As always....there are still projects that must be done! :)   See the sidebar for a new list so that we can try to keep track!

Well, my little Sugar Bug just woke up (last day before school starts back) so, I'm going to sit and snuggle a little with a good cup of coffee close by!

Have a great day!

Lisa

  1. Hi Lisa...

Glad you found me again....If one good thing came out of losing my old blog, was that I am now able to warn others so that this won't happen to them....

Your kids are to cute, and your "girl childs" hair looks just fine! All of your resolutions are perfect. I am going to have to steal the one about having a date night with hubby more than once a year....

    Take care,
    Lisa
